I offer one-to-one drum lessons in and around Cambridge, and I also teach drums at St. Andrew’s College, Cambridge (I am fully DBS checked).

My approach to drum tuition is to split drumming into several different ‘elements’ and then to look at each in terms of Technique, Improvisation, Music (learning songs from the list below), and ‘Extras’ (more advanced concepts). This is also the approach which I use myself when I practise, with one of the aims being to link all of the Technique sections together into a warm-up routine so that you will never feel limited at the drums again –
I usually offer 45-minute lessons at 4pm, 5.15 and 6.30, Monday to Thursday. I teach by going out to see people, which seems to work well as students then learn on their own drum-kit and can practise on that. I also offer a first lesson for free, an informal get together to come and meet you, listen to you play (I could maybe play a bit too!), just to get an idea of where you are and where to go from. I can also take students through the Rockschool Board of drum grades, and currently I have a 100% pass rate. Above all though, the aim is to…have fun when you drum!!
